Dear Friends,
I’m so thrilled to share that my work is featured in the third edition of Art Dialogues, a beautiful art magazine run by the thoughtful and talented Anita Goes. Anita reached out to do a studio visit, and we spent a quiet afternoon together in my home studio (slash office, slash living room, slash family room!) while my husband and son were out.
Anita is not only a gifted photographer—she’s a generous listener. Somehow, she captured the mood of the space, the light, my books, the ceramics Jason and I made, and the rhythm of my studio life with such warmth and ease. We spoke about the music I listen to while painting, how architecture informs my work, and what it means to keep a creative practice going in the midst of parenting and professional life. Letting someone into your workspace, especially with a camera, can feel vulnerable—but Anita’s presence was calming, and I hope that comes through in the images.
Alongside the photos, I also wrote a personal reflection on my studio practice—what it means to hold space for creativity in a life full of competing roles and responsibilities. I invite you to read the full piece and see the photos here:

To celebrate the launch of Issue 03, Art Dialogues is hosting a group show featuring the five artists highlighted in this edition. It opens this Thursday at Selva in Bushwick, and I’d be overjoyed to see you there. Expect great energy, thoughtful work, and music. More info and RSVP via Eventbrite below.
For this show, I’ll be presenting my latest series titled Temporal Arrangements, which you can see in process in the photograph below. These paintings draw on my ongoing fascination with old maps, in particular Pirro Ligorio’s map of ancient Rome (a stunning reproduction can be found here)—a mix of historical reconstruction and creative invention. In my own imagined memory-map of a city, I explore the questions:
What forms anchor our sense of place? Which shapes carry emotional weight? What do we associate with certain geometries—and how do the voids, the in-between spaces, make us feel?
As a subscriber, I’d love to offer you a first look: I’ve created a private viewing link to preview this new series before I release it more broadly. You can view the work here:

As always, thank you for being here and for supporting my practice. If you’re in New York and feel like stopping by on Thursday, I’d love to say hello in person.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead
xx,
Letícia
